This film is produced by Phantom Films, and stars Hrithik Roshan as Mahamat Takhta, Ileana D'Cruz as Aparajita, Sonam Kapoor as Nandini, and Adil Hussain as Harappa. The film is set in the Indus Valley Civilization and follows two inexperienced mythic heroes who encounter a mythical city called Mohenjo-daro along the banks of the River Indus. It tells how they come to discover its secrets of immortality. The trio accidentally trespasses onto an ancient city called Mohenjo Daro, where they encounter the mythical Princess Nandini, who is portrayed as a Brahmin princess. She wishes to marry Harappa but her father refuses due to his low caste, so she asks Nandini to sleep with him instead. Harappa, who is smitten by her, does so and impregnates her with the promise to marry her. Due to his low caste, Harappa gets exiled from her kingdom. Nandini is later taken away by the guard who came to take Harappa back, but she is rescued by another guard who takes her to his village. At the village, Nandini meets a man named Leeladhar (Anupam Kher), who takes care of their baby girl's education, upbringing and future plans. The princess reveals that she is going to marry a Brahmin prince named Akbar (Amitabh Bachchan), but her father, Tantri (Ashutosh Rana), chooses Harappa as a groom instead. Her father however, denies the marriage as his daughter saw a dream of a snake in Harappa's hair. He also explains that not all snakes are evil, so Harappa is to go on exile again. With the help of Leeladhar and his wife Nandini, Harappa travels through several cities all over India to meet princesses who he believes are Nandini. He succeeds in finding her, but she is revealed to be Akbar's daughter by the name of Aparajita. The two of them are later tied together by a rope, due to the prince's request of keeping Harappa under watch. She sympathizes with Harappa and promises to help him reunite with Nandini. At the palace, Tantri announces that Princess Nandini has fallen sick and has no cure. Hearing this news, Aparajita sends Leeladhar to find the cure for her friend's illness after she dies.
